John Proctor : Hero or Stooge?

When I hear the word stooge I immediately think of that silly Christmas movie, and I couldn't help but wonder "is this really who John Proctor is?" Is he this horrible, cooped up character wanting to shine evil on the whole world? I think he's the exact opposite in fact. what exactly makes someone a hero? Is it the fact that they have "saved" something or someone. The fact that I believe John Proctor to be wanting to end the Salem witch trials makes him a hero. Sure of course he hesitated to throw Abigail under the bus when he had the chance, that was only to protect his good name. The fact that he then sacrificed that reputation only to save Elizabeth proves him to be  hero-worthy to me. John Proctor has had many lies and flaws in his character that may lead us to believe that he is nothing more than a mere old man, but I believe all of his lies add up to a good cause; him wanting to end the injustices.

There Goes The Neighborhood

Many centuries ago when settlers first started to colonize the Americas the encounter people who they believed to be "Indians". When Columbus and his expedition ran into the native people when they first settled many many years ago, they seemed to be looking to take advantage of them. They recognized the native people as one that provides great care. I seem to think that it was in their nature and culture to be very hospitable. When the foreigners settled on their land, instead of fighting or defending themselves they put up a somewhat nurturing front. I believe the natives were frightened of the newcomers and didn't know what to do so they decided to conform to the needs of the settlers. They seemed to want to trade and explore new possibilities. They were curious as to who and what these new people were and they let curiosity get the best of them. Their sweet nature and morals allowed them to have open eyes towards the settlers and what they were willing to do to them.

ME

my life in a nutshell isn't the most interesting. every morning I am to wake up, accompanied by sleepy eyes, only to do the same activities over and over again in school. later on I have 5hours of homework, which may be due to the excessive time I spend on my phone.... but overall school definitely isn't the highlight. thankfully, my dancing is! almost everyday I dance in the preprofessional company at my studio (CMDC). having some sort of activity to free your mind is very helpful. I think that might be why my mom got me interested in piano at such a young age. or though, that chapter finished very recently. practing everyday on wooden keys listening to the sound of sweet tunes sure gets boring fast. so what is there to do next? what's in store for me now?
